The CIA Responsible Care programme, and our leadership of the ChlorAid
organisation in particular, clearly demonstrates ICI ChlorChemicals’ commitment to
Safety, Health and Environmental improvement.
Steve Roberts has been responsible for the co-ordination, training and development of the
many ChlorAid emergency response teams in the UK and Ireland. Steve has also provided a
professional training and technical back-up service to ICI ChlorChemicals’ Chlorine
and Hypo customer base for many years.
Steve has considerable expertise and knowledge within Chlorine operations and excellent
training skills, which have been commended by many, both within and outside this Company.
For the past 9 years, Steve has managed and presented the annual ChlorAid Team Leader
training course. This course is unique and is highly regarded within the Industry.
Earlier this year, Steve provided a comprehensive revision of the ChlorAid Operating
Manual. This involved a great deal of work and has greatly improved the standard of our
technical operating instructions.
